Fried Chicken Heaven

Hello Darlings!!!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!!! I got a lot accomplished which is nice! I started my classes today for Photography! I'm sure you will notice the difference in my pictures soon Lol I'm hoping to learn a lot!!!

Over the weekend Jake and I decided to eat at one of our favorite places here in Oklahoma. We don't go very often because it's about a 40 min drive (totally worth it) and we are trying to watch what we eat.

This place is called Eischen's! It is located in a tiny town called Okarche. They are open Mon-Sat from 10 am-10pm. They have a small menu but large portions!! It is so delicious you will not be disappointed.

The thing about this place is you get a whole chicken! Yes a WHOLE chicken. They fry the whole thing together (not as a whole chicken! They do cut it into pieces) Jake and I get the whole chicken with Fried okra and a pitcher of water. It comes with white bread, sweet pickles, dill pickles, and onions.

A whole lot of yumminess!!!

Since it is a whole chicken and it is always packed on Saturdays which is when we go! We order Chili cheese nachos to enjoy while we what! It is so amazing! They do serve beer, wine coolers, and soda. Jake and I like to stick with water since we are cheating enough all ready lol

On the menu they also have Roast beef Sandwich, Bar-b-q sandwich, Home made chili, frito pie, and cheese nachos. Jake and I have not tried everything. When we go we order the same thing because that is what we go for.

I would guess since what we do order is fantastic that so is everything else!

There is a lot of history in the bar! It is the oldest bar in Oklahoma. It first began in 1896 by Peter Eischen. I do not what to spoil everything because every table tell the story. They have history all over the wall and even a piece of the original bar before it burned down. So if you want to know more come on down and get the full experience!

This place has even been on Diner, Drive in's and Dives!! There is place on the wall where Guy Fieri signed it!! I love to see places like this get noticed.

Have you been here or heard about it?! Do you have a favorite place with a historical background?! Please let us know in the comments below!!!

Enjoy your Monday!!

Weekly Little Delights

My Birthday Flowers from Jake!
Hello!!

How was your week?! I'm glad it's over and ready to enjoy the weekend! I start classes on Monday so that is scary yet exciting!

I thought I would share a few things that made my week! I feel it's a nice way to end such a slow and kinda blah week..what do you think?

In the pic above you can see the beautiful flowers Jake had delivered to me for my birthday! Funny thing is he had them addressed to him so when they got to me the delivery guy was like "umm Jake?" and I played it off like yep that's me....he felt like a dumbass when I told him but it was pretty funny.

This morning my sephora package came in and I finally have my champagne pop! I will be putting it to the test tomorrow!! I will load some pics on instagram

I had another one of these bad boys yesterday! I'm telling you the Black tea mango lemonade is fantastic! I am also really enjoying the order and pickup that Starbucks is doing now!! Anybody else loving this???

What where some of your favorite things from this week? Did you buy anything new?

I did  make a trip to my local ulta and got a lipstick I have been wanting for a bit now. I will let you know what I think it a few weeks!

Enjoy your weekend! It sucks knowing summer is almost over yet I am ready for fall! Cooler weather, scarfs, hats, and boots!!!

Till the next time!

Love For Macadamia!

Hello Darlings!!

I have been trying some new things from the brand Macadamia hair products. I have been using two things from this line for years now and love them!!! I thought why not give a few more a try?! This is not sponsored I just really love this brand!

One of the products I have been in love with for years (I really can not live without) I had actually bought a small sample size pouch (Foil Packet ) from Ulta. I was just starting to try out new hair masks and had read great reviews on this. I just did not want to buy the whole tub if my hair hated it besides the packet was like 4.50 ( I got 2 use's out of it).

This mask is so good!!! It is the Deep repair mask that really repairs!! I had been using a hydrating mask from Biolage ( I still really enjoy it) when I found this gem! I am currently out of it but when I was at Ulta today they were sold out (BOO) but it is that f**king good!!

Perfect for travel healing oil treatment

A few years of loving the mask I decided to give their Healing oil treatment a go! I love trying new hair oils it can make the difference in your style. I just use a dime size amount on my ends then what is left on my hands slide any flyaway's down.

All of the products smell amazing which is a huge plus for me! I wouldn't say they all smell the same..similar yes.The oil does not weigh my hair down or make it look greasy. It just makes it really soft and shiny! They have a healing oil spray which is on my list to try!

In the last couple of weeks I have been playing around with 2 other products!

I love and need dry shampoo but not all dry shampoo's are equal! My favorite of all time is Batiste in brunette (I swear it is always sold out!! I always grab 2) but I thought I would give this one a fair chance.

It does not leave a white residue (which is really nice!) smells great, and soaks up the oil! I even used this on clean hair to really test it and it gives a bit of volume! I did find the sprayer to be a bit tough. It could just be my bottle but I really have to push down to get it to spray. This is my #1 to use when I am going with day 2-3 hair style.

It soaks up the oil great but it also gives your style live back. I have found with some dry shampoo's you really need to add it before bed or first thing in the morning to give it time to work. I found this to work fast.

I have tried a few leave in conditioner's in my time then settled for this. It makes brushing my hair easier, smells nice, plus does 10 things all at once. Then at the salon last week my stylist used something "that is like it but on steroids because it does 20 things at once" those are her exact words.

Why I did not buy it then I dunno but I had seen Macadamia's Leave-in conditioning mist and thought I will try this first!

It is really light weight for a leave-in which I am really enjoying! I just towel dry my hair then use my teaser brush to get out any tangles, add the mist and brush with a comb to get it everywhere. I have been doing this for a week now and feel my hair is softer but that's all I have noticed so far.

I enjoy finding a brand that makes more than one great product! I find at times I can only find a select few. I know it seems like a select few but since I am so pleased I will be wanting to try more. I know they have shampoo and conditioner which I am sue is amazing! I just have a hard time splurging on shampoo & conditioner when I know drugstore works just fine! ( I have found some higher end one's I really enjoy but I had gotten samples or knew someone who used them) anybody else feel this way??

WOW! I can not believe it is Thursday already and I am so glad it is! If you read yesterday's post I am feeling more and more like myself! I'm not so stuffy and sneezy LOL

What hair products are you loving?! Any mask's I should give a try?

Till the next time feel free to comment below or tweet me! I love chatting with you!

XOXO

One of those weeks....

My Girls!!
Hello!!!!

Sorry I missed Monday and Tuesday's post! This past weekend was a long one! Just a real emotional drainer!

I said goodbye to the military life this weekend, Not that I won't see my friends anymore...it is just not going to be the same in some ways.

I was not expecting it to pull a few emotional punches to the gut! So I slept pretty much the whole day Monday then Tuesday was my birthday. I know it is supposed to be a happy day but it was complete crap!

So I ate ice cream and watched movies (pathetic I know but it's my party and I can if I want to)

Today I woke up on a positive note and slowly am getting out of my funk.

I did finally purchase this!!!! I am so excited for it to get here! I have been waiting Champagne pop ever since I heard Jaclyn Hill talk about it on her channel!! She is amazing and I love her videos You should really check her out if you don't watch her!!

I will do a review on it after I have wore it for a while (if it will hurry and get here) and let you know my thoughts. If you have already given it a go what are your thoughts???

There will be quite a few product reviews coming in the next couple of weeks. I have gotten several new things to try! I am  really excited to try them all out!!

My hot tea concoction has come handy the last 2 day's. Jake and I both woke up Monday feeling like we had went out partying the night before. I guess coming from Kansas back to Oklahoma does something to the allergies.

It is the weirdest thing but every time we come home we get all stuffed up. I think it is time we invested in humidifier. There is one at whole foods I have heard good things about. I just need to go get it along with some of the oils. I will go more in to detail after I have check it out.

For now hot tea with cinnamon and Jack is doing the trick. Do you have any advice???

That pretty much summons up my week so far! Sorry nothing exciting to share but tomorrow will be back to usual.

Till the next time

XOXO

To Diet or To not Diet

Very much so!!!! LOL
Hello!!

Let's check in on how well the dieting has been going. Remember my post of sugar?! If not check it here.

Now in that post I talked about a no (refined) sugar diet or challenge I like to call it.  Now I had no plans on going for 30 day's! I would never make it!!!

However, I mentioned how I gave things up and how I wanted to keep improving. It is like making a transition. During these few weeks I have had my ups and downs. I never said it would be easy.

As much as I would love to blame the late nights I have been having it is my own fault. I had 3 double zero redbulls in the last 2 weeks!!!! (shame on me) I had been doing so great with out these. I will say at least they were not the big cans. Jake and I both had just the 8 oz can (like that makes it better)

I did stick to my no sugar in coffee!!! Even at Starbucks no sugar and I started to add cinnamon! (helps get that metabolism going) It is not just my coffee from Starbucks I make sure what ever I order is unsweetened.

I stayed away from chocolate!! I snacked on crackers, gum, and fruit. I did chew regular gum since the sugar free is really bad for you! (some chemical it has)

No Soda!! Jake even brought one home last night for us to share and I stayed away!!! (BAD JAKE)

I have been adding my daily food to my fitness pal app. I'm not really counting the calories. I just noticed I will say NO to things more knowing I have to put it in there. (does that make sense, like it makes me feel I make better choices)

I plan to slowly keep getting better, by changing the small things. Baby steps!!

Now about that juice cleanse Jake and I were doing! (HA)

If you have no idea what I am talking about read this (go ahead I will wait.....)

.................

Okay now that you have caught up this is what happened.

Jake and I bought everything we needed for a week that Saturday. We woke up Sunday and began out journey. It wasn't that they tasted horrible or didn't make us full.

In fact we did really good Sunday. Juice for breakfast and lunch, then a green smoothie for dinner. Raw veggies and fruit for snacks through out the day.

We started Monday off right.....then it got so damn hot out!! I was feeling a little faint! I immediately asked Jake how he was doing and he was grumpy and had no energy. We quickly caved to getting something to eat. Now we both did get salad's which is a better choice then a BIG MAC! So there is that.

We did keep making smart decisions the last couple of weeks. Green smoothies for breakfast then a light lunch plus a well balanced dinner. We have been trying a lot more of the gluten free, NON GMO, products from Vitacost (see post here) They have all been surprisingly good!

We also have not had a drink for 2 weeks! Now Jake and I don't drink every night but usually 2 nights a week we like to sit outside on the balcony and have a couple beers! (literally couple 2-3)
Then on Saturday we might have something other then beer! Since we are getting into wine's we had been having a glass of it.

Now that was pretty easy for us to go without but there are those day's when a cold beer is needed!

That pretty much covers the update on how horrible we did on the diet! I think it is better to just keep watching what we eat, make small changes here, and enjoy life!!!

Have you been making any changes for your health?! Comment below!!!

My hair before!

There will NOT be a post tomorrow! I will be back on Monday! If you would like to keep up with me over the weekend add me on snapchat and Instagram! (JustRobecca)

My Hair NOW!
It doesn't look like much of a difference but I got about 2 inch's or so cut off! It feels so much lighter (girls with long, thick hair understand) plus with this heat (been in hundreds with humidity) it's a bit cooler.

Until Monday! Enjoy the weekend!!!!!!!!!!

XOXO,

Becca

July's Birchbox (2015)

The packaging is.....something

Hello Darlings! This week has been going by quite quickly for Jake and I! For that matter Summer has been dancing by with out taking many pit stops!

It is already August! Holy Moly my classes start the 17th (going for my 2nd degree) I feel as though I have just let summer go by with out stopping to enjoy it! I guess that is what happens when you don't take the time to take a pause on life (meaning take a f*ing vacation!)

Anyway, today we are going to take a peak inside last months Birchbox. (it was late....very late)

So real talk...I am not impressed with this box :(  there is 1 product I did really want to try just wish it was tiny size lol

Yep :(

I opened this after I had seen a few unboxings on YouTube. I was really excited because every box had some kind of hair product from Oribe. If you know this company then you know it is on the expensive side because it is worth it!

I also saw every box had the Stila lippie. I was glad to see this since I have heard good reviews. I do wish it was the pink color instead of red (I have not found a red yet that looks good on me)I just don't think I am meant to pull it off.

I guess you could say I should not watch unboxings anymore lol  I could be wrong but I feel I got what scraps they had left hanging around the shop.

Alright enough complaining! Sorry about that!! I'm sure I will enjoy a few of these. (fingers crossed)

I like Bumble & Bumble

Up first is a hairspray from Bumble & Bumble. I have found a few products from this company that are great so this might be really good! It is a thickening hairspray that clams to add body, lift , and medium hold. I could use some body and lift!

Plus it is great for traveling! I really do enjoy having a box full of samples (travel size items) to have ready for a trip!

I don't know about this

I have tried a lot of products from DR. JART+ and I really have enjoyed them! I love the BB creams (price not so mush LOL) I have already tried either this or something of the same form. It was same name and some company just a tube instead of this eye dropper type of packaging.

This is a liquid that calms and hydrates the skin. I will have to experiment with this a few times before I could say anything. Has anybody tried this?!

YASSSSSSSSSS

I am super excited about this!! I have seen great reviews on it and wanted to test it out myself! It is great for traveling in my purse! I will be testing this out this weekend. It is from COOLA and they make awesome sunscreen! It does not smell like sunscreen or feel gross (ya know?)

I imagine this to be just as good. It is a organic makeup setting spray BUT with SPF 30!!!! YIPPIE

I have such a hard time actually wearing sunscreen under my makeup so I always make sure I wear something that has SPF in it. It is supposed to leave a matte finish, set your make-up and hydrate skin!!! looking forward to it!

Have heard nice things!

Stila is a favorite for me. I enjoy quite of few products from them. I have seen a few reviews on this line and seems like it lasts and lasts!

It is "look at me" liquid lipstick. It is creamy (and the swatch was not easy to remove) and the formula glides on like a gloss but stays on like a stain. In the reviews I have seen they say it really does stay on all day. Even if you eat and drink.

This may night be my color (sorry the color is....Venizia) but I will still try to make it work lol
I will even wear this around the house to test it and if it is as great as they say I will go buy a color of my choice.

Brand is new to me

I choose to show you this last because I have never heard of this brand! It is by LIZ EARLE here is the site. I received the Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer.  I am hoping my skin will like this. It is alcohol-free and packed with botanical's.

It is supposed to soothe and hydrate ALL skin types. Okay okay...this might be a really nice product! I didn't see in any of the unboxings that anybody else got this?!?!

If you are a birchbox subscriber did you get this?! Do you like it? Am I the only one who has not heard of this brand? (it has been known to happen)

If you are not a subscriber but would like to be (it is only $10 a month) they take out your money on the 1st of every month so there is no guessing. https://www.birchbox.com/invite/r6spb just click this link to give it a go.

Alright folks, that is all for this post! Please comment below

Till the next time

ROCKSBOX!

CUTE!

Hello!!!!

Have you guys heard about ROCKSBOX yet?! IF not, no worries I am here to tell you all about it!

Do you love jewelry? But hate how much a pretty piece can cost? Maybe you are not sure about a piece till after you have worn it.

If you have asked yourself any of those questions then ROCKSBOX is for you! Before you ask, No! This is not a sponsored post! I really really like the idea behind this!

I love to wear jewelry, yet I rarely do! I have 3 YES 3! jewelry boxes yet they have squat in them!

I will admit I am picky. I like silver and rose gold the most! Plus I like unique pieces. Then again, I enjoy dainty pieces for everyday, but I want statement pieces for those special occasions!

How freaking cute is this?!
A few months back I was subscribed to ROCKSBOX but I kept getting one piece at of the 3 you get I actually liked.

See at that time you signed up and took a quiz about what you liked. For some great! For me not so great. Since I am so picky it was not working out :( so I stopped.

They just recently changed the way they do things. Now I don't know if you still take a quiz, but I do know you scroll through thousands of brands and styles. You favorite the ones you like (almost everything comes in both gold and silver) and then your personal stylist will choose from it.

It being your WISHLIST! I went through as many has it would let me (seemed like forever) then you can go to their Instagram account and any piece you see on there you just comment #wishlist and BAM it is now in your wishlist!

I noticed some pieces that did not grab my attention did grab it when I seen it worn!

Sometimes I will look at a piece and think "What would I wear that with?" so I pass it up when nothing comes to mind. Seeing it in play on the other hand makes ideas start flowing!

You remember me saying something about a personal stylist?! Every subscriber gets one!! In my little personalized note she let's me know this box was created by the SLATE gunmetal necklace I had in my wishlist. Every item was on my wishlist so she knew I liked it! She then just choose one to built a cute little set.

In my little note is also where they will tell you what each piece is, who it is by, and then the insiders price. (it shows what real price is but then what we would pay for it) Yes that is right my darlings if you find a piece you just can NOT live without you do not have to!

See it works like this.....You get 3 pieces every box, each month is costs $19. You can keep a box for as long as you like but you will still be charged $19 once every month.

Now when you are done, they so gratefully gave you a package you can reuse with a postage sticker inside for you to place on top of the one they used to send the package to you. (that's right folks no cost to you to ship it back!)

Now that you have sent it back you will not charged until they send you another box. It took about 4 business day's for me to get package ( I remember them receiving it quickly as well)

If there is a piece you would like to purchase you just go to your account and click buy. You will be charged for it at insiders price and then you just ship back the pieces you didn't purchase.

I feel it a jewelry rental service except affordable!!!!!!

Each piece comes in a little bag like shown above so nothing gets tangled! Plus if you go away for the weekend you can easily take the pieces you want!

In this months box I received the SLATE necklace she built around. One pair of Silver stud earrings, and a silver ring. (pictures down below) You can see in the little note it tells you everything you need to know. Plus if you go online and rate your items your next box will ship a lot faster because your stylist will have a better idea.

Engraved Triangle Necklace in Gunmetal by SLATE!
Regular price $56 Insiders $45

Most of these companies that design the pieces I have not heard of so it is a great way to learn of great companies! You might find a new brand worth telling everybody about! Sometimes I will look at a piece at then the price and think it is not worth that. Then again, some are priced really good!!

Orbit & Crystal Silver Ring by Wanderlust + Co
Regular price $49 Insiders $39
With the rings you do get to choose your ring size. I choose more than one because I like to wear different kinds. I like that that is an option. (ignore my horrible nails) This ring fits both middle and pointer finger.

Pave Dagger Studs in silver by Sophie Harper
Regular price $35 insiders $28

I like studs more than big statement like earrings. This are cute and perfect for an evening out that you want to add a little something with out going overboard!

I will be taking photos with these items worn as I wear them through out the month! If you are interested in seeing those pics make sure you are following me on Instagram! (JustRobecca)

Would you like to see more months to come of my ROCKSBOX?! I would be happy to due one every new box if you are interested.

If you would like to try this out for yourself the first 3 people to DM on twitter (JustRobecca) will get my special code to get one month for FREE!!!!!! IT is a nice way to try it out with out costing you a thing!!!!

Do you like monthly boxes?! Have you heard of this before??? What are your thoughts? Please comment below :)

Till the next time

XOXO
